The GROWTH Alberta region is served by two Community Futures organizations (CFs), whose mandates are community and business development. Each CF delivers a variety of services ranging from strategic economic planning, business technical and advisory services, loans for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), self-employment assistance programs, and support services for entrepreneurs (including youth entrepreneurs and those with disabilities).
Chambers of Commerce
The GROWTH Alberta region is also home to several area Chambers of Commerce. These chambers operate as non-profit action organizations designed to meet community or area needs and serve the local business community. The Business Development Bank of Canada helps to build Canadian business capacity through financing and consulting services.
Alberta Women Entrepreneurs provides women entrepreneurs with advisory services, training, networking opportunities, business loans and referrals to complementary services.
The Canadian Federation of Independent Business provides lobbying and business support services for member businesses across Canada.
