Growing Opportunities School Expo
Since 2006 GROWTH Alberta has hosted the 'Growing Opportunities School Expo' with support from Alberta Employment and Immigration. The event is a showcase of education and employment opportunities meant to help local students make an informed choice about life after high school.
By hosting local employers to exhibit alongside colleges and universities from throughout Western Canada, GROWTH Alberta aims to attract interest from students about opportunities right here in our region.
The next Growing Opportunities School Expo will be held on November 9, 2011 at Barrhead Composite High School, Barrhead, Alberta.
Students can speak one on one with schools, agencies and employers.
Employers can spread the word about local jobs and the training they require.
Teachers can access information to take back into the classroom.
Parents are more than welcome to attend and learn about opportunities alongside their children.
